Greetings from Connecticut where it’s past bedtime on my eighth day of COVID, Monday, Feb. 20, 2023. A huge thank you to Rabbi Andi Fliegel and The Caring Committee at Congregation Beth Israel, who delivered a “soup hug” today — two huge containers of homemade chicken vegetable soup! I am so grateful. My job’s COVID health monitor says I’m officially cleared from isolation, but shortness of breath and worrisome blood oxygen numbers have me taking no chances.
