Good evening and thanks for, well, rising up before going to bed on this Wednesday, Aug. 16, 2023. This “Bedtime Stories” edition is a quick look at what happened and what’s in store for tomorrow. And yes, there will be a complementary Thursday morning edition, too! I myself am looking forward to bed as I have traveled more than 500 miles since Monday, to and from and all around Boston, to and from New York, and finally back here in Connecticut. Madonna Is 65!

CELEBRATING ROCCO: In case you missed it, the iconic pop star turned 65 on Wednesday, but instead of focusing on her many hits and styles and influences, Madonna posted a series of family-filled photos to her Instagram Story on Tuesday, beginning with the singer herself wearing a long, floral dress, cross necklace, and bedazzled sunglasses. The outing was in celebration of Rocco, whom Madonna shares with ex-husband, Guy Ritchie. He turned 23 earlier this month. —People Magazine
