Yep, that's Melody Maia Monet and me with Terry Matalas, Hollywood writer, producer and director. The Bedtime Stories are late, and brief, as I am still on West Coast time, and loving every minute!

Thanks for checking in on this Sunday night, May 21, 2023. On this day in 1927, Charles Lindbergh landed in Paris, completing the first solo, nonstop transatlantic flight. He took off 33 1/2 hours earlier from near my hometown on Long Island.

It was five years later that Amelia Earhart did it, too, in 1932. And on this day in 1992, Buttafuoco became a household name: 17-year-old Amy Fisher was arrested for shooting Mary Jo Buttafuoco on her Massapequa porch because she was in love with her husband, Joey Buttafuoco. Fisher went to prison and Mr. Buttafuoco went to prison — for statuatory rape — but several years later, Mary Jo found a way to forgive Amy and actually helped get her out from behind bars. Their story has been the subject of three TV movies.

STAR TREK FAMILY JOINS WRITERS GUILD PICKET LINE: My friend Melody Maia Monet and I will be on the picket line tomorrow with the writers of Star Trek Picard. On Friday, we enjoyed lunch with showrunner and executive producer Terry Matalas, and on Sunday we got to meet actor Jin Maley for lunch. They’re wonderful, and we can’t wait to see what they do next!

WHAT DID Y’ALL TALK ABOUT? We are sworn to secrecy. It was great just getting to know these fascinating friends of ours, and to marvel at how Star Trek brought us all together!
