Everything Trans, Everywhere, All At Once

This Bedtime Stories edition is mostly trans-focused. Why? Because our population, amounting to just 1.4% of youth and 0.5% of all adults, is being targeted for eradication, elimination and erasure.

It’s already Monday in the East, and the minutes that remain for the Central, Mountain and Pacific time zones are terribly few on this Sunday night, March 12, 2023. And I’m using what’s left to focus on some big news from the past week, impacting the transgender community and our allies, plus the latest big name to stand in support of J.K. Rowling, and some revelations in the case of detransition darling Chloe Cole (not her real name). So, the news you need to rise up will just have to wait until tomorrow morning, with one exception:

ALMOST EVERY AWARD, BUT NOT ALL AT ONCE: Nominated in 11 categories, Everything, Everywhere, All At Once, the incredible family sci-fi fantasy martial arts lesbian romantic dramedy adventure female empowerment film won seven Academy Awards: best picture, best actress (Michelle Yeoh), best supporting actress (Jamie Lee Curtis), best supporting actor (Ke Huy Quan), best directing and best original screenplay. It was my favorite film of 2022, so I was thrilled to see it clean-up! —USA Today

AUTHOR OF THE COLOR PURPLE DEFENDS J.K. ROWLING: Author Alice Walker, recently more known for supporting anti-semetic conspiracy theories, is now into TERF conspiracy theories. She says J.K. Rowling is right, and trans people exist because we use the word “guy” in a gender-neutral way. Walker did all of this in an essay on her website, where she chimed in on the new podcast The Witch Trials of J.K. Rowling. —Out Magazine

CHLOE “COLE” EXPOSED: Thanks to some digging in publicly available resources, we’re learning more about the detransitioned woman from Southern California who’s been making the rounds campaigning against gender-affirming care. Her real name is Chloe Brockman, and in spite of the fact she and her parents signed consent forms for her own top surgery when she was almost 16, she’s now suing Kaiser Permanente and its medical team, with the help of a conservative group. In Dec/22 @ChoooCole came to Redlands flanked by Proud Boys & spewed ant-trans hate. Chloe is part of a national push to dismantle transgender rights because HER parents signed off on a rushed experience. Chloe exploits this experience monetarily while hiding those responsible.

All publicly available information! Jocelyn & Jeff Brockman are the parents of @ChoooCole (Chloe Brockman). If Chloe was operated on in such a rush, these parents would have had to sign off on those.

She just can’t claim ignorance.

Robyn Brockman is Chloe's grandmother who often posts from LDS FB pages. The LDS church does not support trans rights or trans people. I don't know the extend of Chloe's mormon connection aside from the grandmother and a post by her sister claiming to have been raised mormon.
